Framed

I framed my cross stitch in this wonderful antique frame I bought at the 29th street antique store.  It was dated from the late 1890's. The back of it looks like it very well could have been from that time.  I believe the paint was touched up, but not that long ago that it looks fresh.  I think the cross stitch fits in there perfect!!

This was one of the last purchases I made before the 29th street store had to close.  We really enjoyed going to that store. It was just huge and you always found something new each time you went.

A Grand Skein Dopp Kits

I finally got the dopp kits for A Grand Skein done!!
I made 30 of the them.  I was happy with the end result, even though I forgot to put the little pull tab on the ends!  It doesn't show in the photo but the zipper color that we ended up with wasn't a great match either. It was more of a light blue than a turquoise color. Now I'm making some snowflake ornaments for my friend Adrienne.

Snowflakes

I realized after going through some pictures that I didn't share with you the lace snowflakes I made for my co-workers.

They are ornaments to hang on a tree or in a window. Any place you want!! Once again I was scrambling to get them finished so I could hand them out the week before Christmas.  I didn't plan on how much white thread I would use!  I went through every thing I had on hand, I even used the eggshell shade! I quickly ordered some online and was able to get them done in time.  Maybe if I start now on this years present I would be ahead of the game! Knowing me I would put them someplace and not remember come Christmas time!

Gabriella's Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for Gabriella on my embroidery machine.  Well, I made one for her older sister Sophia when she turned one so I figured I better do the same!!  I took a few shots as it was being made.

This is after the first 8 colors have stitched out.  Every time I make a picture on my embroidery machine I am always amazed at how these turn out!

This is after the next 8 colors have been stitched. I love how she looks like she has a beard!!

Here is the finished card. There were a total of 21 colors in her picture.  Definitely something to treasure.

Gabriella turns 1

Well I made it through another adventure at Chuck E Cheese!  My niece, Gabriella turned 1.

She wasn't really into the cake mess thing.  She didn't seem to like getting her hands dirty.

When she got this far she was fussing to have her hands cleaned off!!

Then she was ready to tear into her presents!!
